With a low mintage of just 3,980 business strikes and a high attrition rate, the 1865 is a very scarce issue.
This reddish gold example, housed in an old green label holder, has the detail of a VF30/35, but there is a detracting deep reeding mark on the obverse between stars 11 and 12.
No PCGS VF25 has sold since Heritage 2/2012: 4893 that brought $4,313.
