With no more than four to six known in Uncirculated, the importance of this very choice slider 1859 half eagle becomes readily apparent.
This frosty slider has excellent natural orange-gold color. It is solidly struck while the surfaces are essentially free of significant marks.
I like this coin more than the PCGS/CAC AU58 that brought $8,400 as Stack’s Bowers 4/2022: 5094.
