LOW MINTAGE 1871 HALF EAGLE
A scant 3,200 business strike 1871 half eagles were made. Survivors tend to come in the lower AU grades as this issue appears to not have circulated very freely during the Reconstruction Era.
This is a rose-gold example with plenty of luster and strong overall eye appeal.
Heritage 2024 FUN: 4887 at $6,600 is the only recent APR for an NGC AU58 while the two most recent APRs for PCGS AU58s are $10,200 (1/2025; non-CAC) and $9,600 (11/2024; CAC).
