The 1841 eagle is scarce in the higher AU grades and it is very rare in MS60 and finer.
This piece is original with nice yellow-gold color. It is very heavily abraded in the obverse field near Liberty’s mouth. A long, fine staple scratch from the rim in front of the 1 in the date extends diagonally to over the 8.
