A relatively small number of circulated 1893-CC $20s exist, and this is clear evidence that this issue saw limited commercial use.

This coin seems pretty high-end for an AU53, and I think it is actually a solid 55. Both sides are frosty with a few wispy line on the lower obverse.

No CAC approved AU53 has ever sold at auction. In August 2018, a PCGS/CAC AU55 with a number of detracting marks on the obverse brought $4,800, while a nice PCGS/CAC AU50 sold for $6,900 in 12/2020.

CAC has approved eight in AU53 with 94 finer.
