As one of two most available half eagles from this mint, there is no date premium for the1853-D half eagle.
This coin is nicer than 90%+ of the Dahlonega half eagles in AU53 with CAC approval, which is why I paid $5,040 for it in the latest sale of the Fairmont coins.
With marginal quality PCGS/CAC EF45 D mint half eagles now selling at around $5k, this coin seems like good value.
